Online Video Cuts into TV Viewing Habits
November 28, 2006 · Leave a Comment
I sure represent this demographic, it’s been almost 10 years since I had any sort of cable TV hookup, or watched more than 1 hour of TV excluding DVD and VHS movies on a television.
Excerpt from the study:
“While online video viewers remain a minority, three quarters of those polled in a recent survey said they now watch more TV online or on mobiles than they did a year ago. Approximately 43 percent of users who watch video on the Internet or via mobile device at least once a week said they watch less traditional TV as a result.”
Whenever I see a car with a “Kill Your TV” sticker on it, I always mutter: “Why bother, it’s already killing itself”.

Outstanding and apparently unbiased test of the current spread of browsers, including opening, different page types and various actions. Very interesting results.
